Wine Food Festival Emilia Romagna: what’s up?
Nicholas Montemaggi September 20, 2010The rich calendar of “greedy events” in the Emilia Romagna keeps going on! What’s up this week for the Wine Food Festival 2010? Here all the events of this week:
- Grape and Lambrusco Grasparossa Wine Festival: in Castelvetro (Modena) during this last weekend of this month. The aim of the festival is to increase the value and consolidate the agricultural vocation of Castelvetro while celebrating the origins and the characteristics of its main dish.
Therefore, Lambrusco Grasparossa wine will be the main theme of all the events that will take place in the city centre courtyards and squares. Choreographic settings, exhibitions, people in fancy dresses, food tastings, wine introduction courses, conferences and wine tools exhibitions will take you back to Castelvetro wine and food traditions.
The event will be gladden by shows, activities for children, music entertainment, fashion parades, Miss Lambrusco contest, sightseeing tours and the traditional show of Carri di Bacco (Bacchus float). A ludic-technical combination that will give a modern touch to the event but still respecting the ancient traditions. More info on the event page.
- Parmigiano-Reggiano Cheese – Bibbiano production: in Bibbiano (Reggio-Emilia) till tomorrow, tuesday the 21st. Trade fair and market featuring artisan, industrial and dairy produce. An enjoyable weekend dedicated to the discovery of the territory as well as gastronomic products and local culture. Bibbiano presents a series of performances, exhibitions and marvellous markets with renowned typical wine-and-food stands, all featuring traditional local products. The cooking of Parmigiano Reggiano Bibbiano La Culla (“The Cradle”) is an event you should not miss. More info on the event page.
