To satisfy your desires, we have selected, among the resorts present in our region, those spas that offer the opportunity to have a swim in pools with a minimum length of 15m, all fed by thermal springs that can reach temperatures up to 37°C.
Inside the Berzieri Spa in Salsomaggiore, a prestigious jewel in Art Nouveau style and located in the heart of the town centre, guests can relax by spending some time in the famous bromine and iodine waters.
This is not only the occasion to relax, but also to enjoy wellness and health thanks to the thermal water of Salsomaggiore, rich in mineral salts and trace elements, which carries out an anti-radical action that naturally balances and tones up, stimulating microcirculation and increasing cellular oxygenation.

“Mari d’Oriente” thermal swimming pools are composed of three thematic swimming pools that perfectly complete the traditional wellness treatments thanks to a 500-sqm area entirely dedicated to health.
The “Mare dell’armonia” consists of multiple jets arranged according to muscular disposition and in the direction of venous return. You will also enjoy a vigorous neck massage as well as a toning massage thanks to different jets of water. Benches and chaise lounge with relaxing hydro massage for buttocks, legs and back and a toning hydro massage will complete the tour.
You will then relax in the “Mare della musica” and let yourself gently be rocked by the notes coming from underwater music, by the aromas and by the constant temperature at 34°C.
In the “Mare dell’energia” you will have a relaxing and healthy vascular walk through two different baths, one with hot water at 35°C and the other one with cold water at 25°C; both have air jets that stimulate and improve venous return and lymphatic drainage of the lower limbs.
Open all year round, during the period from November to March the pools are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
To fully benefit from these natural active ingredients, between a bath and the other, you can enjoy the relaxation room where you can taste delicious and locally produced herbalteas.

Since 1927 The Spa in Monticelli is an oasis of peace surrounded by a century-old park of twenty-five acres, it has been able to take advantage of the most precious properties of its sulphurous, bromine and iodine waters, transforming them into active ingredients thanks to their healing and relaxing properties.
The Spa Centre, which boasts seven specialized centres, three hotels, thermal pools, gym circuits, solarium, gymnasiums and spa, offers the guests classic and wellness facilities, curative treatments, but also refined and exclusive beauty treatments. Here, the most modern rehabilitative techniques are used in combination with the beneficial effects of thermal waters.
The Comfort Zone space of the Spa of Monticelli is the ideal place for a revitalizing break during one day, one weekend or one full week. It has been designed to ensure perfect shape and vital beauty and is divided into two wellness areas. In the first one, called Water Zone, you will enjoy the beneficial effects of thermal waters. The Laconicum, an ancient type of Roman sauna, the pleasant Turkish bath Calidarium and the thermal bath with aromatherapy ensure progressive detoxification and full relaxation.
The second one, called Air Zone, provides the most exclusive and refined facial and body massages and treatments, such as Hot Stone Massage, a massage with hot stones and essential oils, or Lushly, the traditional massage for hands and feet with tiara flowers inspired by ancient Polynesian traditions, which purifies, nourishes and regenerates.
The centre includes three swimming pools where you can totally relax thanks to the healing action of bromine and iodine waters.
The first one is new, 26 meters long, 10 meters wide, 1.40 meters deep, with a temperature of 32°C. It is ideal for swimming and, in the section devoted to relaxation, you will find hydrobikes, double jet Jacuzzi and two waterfalls.
The second one is 17 meters long, 7 meters wide and 1.30 meters deep and has a temperature of 30°C. Besides swimming and hydromassages, here you can have fun doing some water spinning, combining this activity with the temperature changes of the sauna, Turkish bath and hydromassage showers. Chromatic and aromatic showers and gymnastics complete the program.
The third swimming pool is new, semi-circular and reproduces the typical structure of the ancient Roman baths. It is 1.30 meters deep, with a water temperature of 34°C and has eight triple jet Jacuzzi and two geyser-air jets that only act on the soles of the feet and on the spine.
Upstairs there is also a large solarium with outdoor Jacuzzi and you can enjoy a wonderful view of the park.
