The lanterns night in Rocca d’Olgisio

Founded around 1.000 a.C. the fortified tower is composed by some connecting spaces, that lead to a small sixteenth-century loggia. It has been owned by many different the castle was given by Gian Galeazzo Visconti to Jacopo Dal Verme, the valiant winner of the battle where Alessandria fought against Florence. The stronghold has an irregular plant, whose only entrance is located in the castle’s North side and is accessible through a both steep and suggestive street.
A wonderful occasion to visit the caslte will be the 16th of August, during the Lanterns night where guided tours will be available during the night (form 8,30 pm to midnight- last entrance 11pm)
Local guides will lead you along the walls enlighted by lanterns and will tell you about history and legends.
Music and wine tasting will be provided as well as entertainment for kids.
Entrance: 8€, kids (6-14 years old) 6€, under 6 the entrance is for free
