Passionate about bikes

Sara Mantovani November 14, 2011

Emilia Romagna is a land where hearts and motors beat at the same pace!

The majority of people here are fond of cars and bikes, it is no accident that Maserati, Lamborghini, Ferrari and Ducati belong to this region!

For lovers there are lot of museums and collections to visit and among them the National Motorcycle Museum, is a source of pride for Rimini and Italy!

Opened in 1993 and moved in the new location in 2005, the museum is now housed in two buildings, in an old house completely restored and in a building with a more modern and functional design.

In the museum you can find: 250 motorcycles from their origin to today; an exaustive library of approximately 10.000 original books on the history of motorcycles; old accessories, and posters and photographs from the world of motorcycles.

Besides the two-wheel exhibition, now on show in four big rooms arranged in chronological order and by thematic areas, the museum aims to become a reference point for Italian and foreign motorcyclists. The museum therefore has rooms available for meetings and entertainment.

Also the exchange market, the only one in Italy – organized since 1994 in the area in front of the exhibition center – will take place with its usual monthly cadence, on the 3rd Sunday of each month.
