New Year`s Eve is one of the most spectacular events in Ferrara which is by the way a beautiful city to visit, it is charming and rich in history and culture.
Every year thousands of people gather in the heart of the city to enjoy the view of the castle going up in flames! An exciting show of fireworks and music.
This great show will embrace the city centre, with a Christmas Village, an ice-skating rink,
the Flavours village, and a musical – “The little Mermaid” – on stage on December 30th at Teatro Comunale.
On December 31st a lot of events are organized: music, gala dinners at the Foyer (Teatro Comunale) and at the Prince’s Apartments (Castello Estense), Renaissance banquets at the Imbarcaderi (Castello Estense). The show will reach its climax at midnight, with the great firework show at the Estense Castle: fire cascades and glowing fountains will light up the night in a very colourful and festive atmosphere.
Both adults and children, young people and families, will enjoy this friendly and bright feast, until late at night.
