Half-term: keep them busy and happy

Sara Mantovani February 22, 2011

Not all are able to leave the country during half-terms holidays but if you can make it these are few ideas to keep your kids busy and happy.

Near Modena. History, nature and adventure come together in Monkey’s Park Adventure in Fanano, a town which is mostly located in the Regional Park of the High Apennines of Modena. A splendid area from a nature point of view and full of history.Children can have fun on the courses “Groundhog”, “Squirrel”, and “Deer”: with swings, net tubes, beams with handles, nets for climbing, zip lines and the awesome Tarzan jump.

Fun in the mountains for everyone, Cimone is the ideal resort for children and families: playground, ski school slope, easy runs with easy to use systems, routes especially studied for families with small children; here children can approach skiing, even at competitive level, from a very young age

In Reggio Emilia. “The Ray of Light atelier offers children and young people the opportunity to experience some of the qualities of light and become familiar with the “grammar” of these through individual and group interaction. The Ray of Light Atelier encourages the elaboration of theory and knowledge on light for both individuals and groups. It is hosted in Centro Loris Malaguzzi, an international place open to the future, to different cultures, to ideas, hopes and imagination”.

In Parma. The ski resort of Schia (1200-1500 meters above sea level) 40 minutes by car from Parma is a privileged destination for families with children: there is a modern lift on the ski school slope where there are many inflatable games scattered and where kids can play even without wearing skis.
