We definitely should consider that behind a great man always stands a great woman and the exhibition “Roberto Benigni, Nicoletta Braschi – Bob and Nico“, (opened yesterday at Palazzo Pepoli, in Bologna) organized by the screenwriter and film director Giuseppe Bertolucci, will celebrate that fact.
The exhibition is unique in Europe and focuses on some of the most significant moments and aspects of the life of this very special couple.
An artistic and human experience entirely shared is portrayed by film clips, video clips, photos, written texts, playbills, stage properties, costumes, installations etc. displayed in the rooms of the first floor of the Pepoli Palace, laid out by the set designer Giancarlo Basili for the Film Archive of Bologna.
This esposition is part of a richer series of events, all focused on the figures of Roberto Benigni and Nicoletta Braschi. The two actors will promote the exhibition by participating in a series of supporting events taking place in Bologna throughout the Summer. Films by Benigni will be showed at Cinema Lumiere through May and in Piazza Maggiore from 21th June, and the “lectura Dantis”, i.e. Dante read by Benigni, will open the Summer Film Festival “Sotto le Stelle del Cinema” (“Under the Stars of the Cinema”) 2011.
The proceeds will go to a charity working on cancer research
