A visit to the Ethnografic Museum in Santarcangelo di Romagna
Sara Mantovani November 25, 2011There are lots of reasons why it’s worth discovering Santarcangelo - its strong local identity and the atmosphere of a large village where life follows a subdued pace, the architectural beauty of its elegant buildings, village houses, narrow streets and small squares, which have garnered it the title of art city and the international events and village fetes that bring it to life with their wonderful flavours.
There you can also visit the Ethnografic Museum houses and exhibits demo-ethno-anthropological artefacts found in and around the Cesena – Rimini area, thus creating a cultural and research centre that deals with various aspects of the popular traditions of the part of the region known as Southern Romagna. Its objectives are to collect, catalogue and study material relating to the history, economy, dialects, and folklore of the area. In other words, the uses and habits of the people of Romagna.
Let’s have a look
