A short break in Ferrara
Sara Mantovani February 18, 2011There is no other place like this in Europe: the city of Ferrara has been given the honour of UNESCO World Heritage as “City of the Renaissance” and because of the Delta of river Po; a maze of ancient lagoons and floodplains, where seawater mingles with the river and tiny islands rise to the surface in lace-like formations.
If you want to make the most of this extraordinary place, hire a bike and enjoy the cycle paths into the historical city centre and along the river bank.
