A screen star

No, I am not about to write a glorification for a single person. I am just thinking of the role that some cities had in the history of Cinema.
Last week the remake of Brighton Rock has been released and it is merely the latest of a wide range of movies shot in and around the city by the sea.
According to The Independent “Brighton & Hove is a place that should satisfy the most demanding location scout. It is also more than a sometimes-pretty face; the fishing village that blossomed into a royal resort was also at the birth of the cinema industry”
I do not want to answer the question, first of all because I am not an expert of Cinema’s history and on the other hand because I would prefer to enjoy the idea we can have our say on the point. No matter if the movie is a masterpiece or a decent work of an unknown producer, the city just lets its – please say “her”- light shine and sometimes “she” makes you feel at home even if you are miles away.
Just to have an idea on how many movies have been shot in Emilia Romagna, have a look to this map.
